Naruto Shippûden: Narutimate Accel is a Japanese fighting game for the Playstation 2 based on the anime and manga series Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto. It is the fourth title in the Narutimate Hero (Ultimate Ninja) series and the second Naruto game based on the Naruto: Shippûden anime series, which is based on the second part of the manga.
Clash of High-speed Attacks - When two opponents clash, they will begin a series of high-speed attacks, appearing as a pair of blurs dueling across the stage. During this sequence, the players play a simple game of Rock-Paper-Scissors, which will determine the winner of the clash.
Awakening Ougis - When certain conditions are met, a character may trigger an Awakening Ougi. These techniques are more powerful than the standard Ougis, and as the name implies, 'awakens' a character's powers (ie. Naruto's Tailed Kyuubi form with super over powering red chakra).

Returning Narutimate Hero characters
Narutimate Accel also contains a special "Hero Mode," featuring characters and battles from the first half of Naruto. Thirty-six characters from Naruto: Narutimate Hero 3 have been confirmed. These characters will also be able to fight against the new Shippûden characters.

This game features the second largest roster in the Ultimate Ninja series, with 42 characters, and follows the storyline up to the Sasuke Retrieval Arc. The player can use equippable jutsu like the second game. When two jutsu of the same strength clash, the game cuts to a mini-game, in which the player or players must press a button repeatedly, until either jutsu wins out over the other. In this installment, the player is to both induce temporary transformations through special jutsu, and other, more permanent ones, that last the entire rest of the fight.
