DORAEMON is a Japanese manga and anime series that tell the story of a robotic cat called Doraemon that is sent back from the future to the present day to help a young boy named Nobita. The sender is in fact Nobita's great-great grandson who wants to help improve fortunes of the family.

Since its creation, Doraemon has become a cultural phenomenon and an icon of Japanese culture. It became Japan's first official anime ambassador in 2008.
